Ingredients
- 1 devils food cake mix
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 (16 oz.) sour cream
- 1 (12 oz.) frozen coconut
- 1 carton Cool Whip
- 2 round cake pans
Method
- Prepare cake mix according to directions on box.
- When layers have cooled, split them in two with thread.
- Then mix sugar, sour cream and thawed coconut together.
- Set aside 1 cup of mixture. Put remaining mixture between the layers.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of Cool Whip to the cup of reserved mixture, to frost the cake. Refrigerate 3 days in an airtight container.
