Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar or honey
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 16 oz. can mixed chunk fruit or cut up fresh fruits

Method

  • Dissolve gelatine in 1/4 cup water.
  • Heat 1/2 cup milk and sugar in a pan until sugar is dissolved.
  • Mix it with the gelatine.
  • Then add 1 cup cold milk and almond flavoring.
  • Stir it well.
  • Put the mixture into a pie plate and place in refrigerator. When set, cut in diamond shapes.
  • Pour syrup from the canned fruit over it.
  • Garnish with canned fruit and mix carefully with a wooden spoon.
  • Prettiest served from a clear glass bowl in small glass dessert dishes.
