Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 3/8 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups ground almonds
  • 3 1/4 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • almond flakes

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff, add the sugar, ground almonds, flour, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  • Spoon dough onto baking tray lined with parchment paper, and sprinkle almond flakes on top of each piece. Flatten each piece with a fork.
  • The portions should be slightly separated because the dough will expand during baking.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
