Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. toasted almonds, chopped
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 11 1/2 oz. bag chocolate morsels
Method
- Sprinkle almonds in a well-greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Melt butter in a large, heavy saucepan, over medium heat.
- Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 7 minutes.
- Pour over almonds.
- Cool 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
- Let stand 5 minutes until morsels become shiny and soft; spread evenly over top.
- When cool, refrigerate 20 minutes to set chocolate.
