Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. toasted almonds, chopped
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 11 1/2 oz. bag chocolate morsels

Method

  • Sprinkle almonds in a well-greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Melt butter in a large, heavy saucepan, over medium heat.
  • Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 7 minutes.
  • Pour over almonds.
  • Cool 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • Let stand 5 minutes until morsels become shiny and soft; spread evenly over top.
  • When cool, refrigerate 20 minutes to set chocolate.
