Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Uncle Ben's wild rice
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 8 oz. can sliced mushrooms
- 1 can beef consomme soup (undiluted)
- 1 pkg. onion soup
- 1 stick butter
- handful of nuts (your choice of slivered almonds, pine nuts or chopped pecans)
Method
- In a 1 3/4-quart casserole, melt butter and add all ingredients including liquid.
- Cook, uncovered, at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serves 6.
- This recipe can be easily doubled.
