Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- dash of salt
- 6 c. thinly sliced tart apples
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
Method
- Heat oven to 375°. Prepare pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and apples. Put in pastry-lined pie tin. Dot with oleo. Cover with top crust that has slits cut in, then seal and flute. Bake 40 to 50 minutes until crust is brown and juice bubbles up through the slits in the crust.
