Ingredients
- 2 potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- 1/2 c. sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. sliced celery
- 1/4 c. sliced onions
- 1/2 lb. hamburg
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 to 2/3 c. water
- salt and pepper
Method
- Brown hamburg and drain well.
- Layer the hamburg and vegetables in a 2-quart well-greased casserole.
- Reverse the layers of vegetables, ending with potatoes.
- Season potato and meat layers with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix the tomato soup with the water. Pour over top of layers.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
- Serves approximately 6.
