Ingredients
- 2 pkg. regular yeast
- 1/4 c. tepid water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Pour yeast into tepid water.
- Add 1 teaspoon sugar.
- Stir and let stand 5 minutes.
- (Place this in a 1-cup measuring cup as it will foam considerably.)
- Scald the milk; add salt, remaining sugar and margarine.
- Cool until tepid.
