Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz.) cans pork and beans
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 can baby lima beans, drained or cooked frozen limas
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
Method
- In a large casserole, layer beans in the order given.
- In a skillet, cook bacon, remove, crumble and sprinkle over beans.
- In 2 tablespoons of the drippings, saute onion until tender.
- Add vinegar and sugar.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour over beans.
- Bake at 375° for about 1 hour.
