Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. pitted dates
- 1 lb. dried figs (no stems)
- 1 lb. seedless raisins
- 1 lb. pecans
- 1/2 lb. crystallized ginger or candied orange peel
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
- confectioners sugar
Method
- Put through coarsest cutter of a meat grinder the dates, figs, raisins, pecans and ginger or orange peel.
- If mixture is very stiff, add needed lemon juice.
- Shape into balls or centers for dipping, or form into roll to be sliced.
- Coat with confectioners sugar; wrap in foil.
