- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. mixed dried beans (15 kinds)
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 4 oz. lite smoked sausage, chopped
- 2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Mexican stewed tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Method
- Cover the beans with water and allow to soak overnight or for several hours.
- Drain.
- Cover with water again and add onions, sausage, bouillon granules, bay leaves, tomatoes, salt, and Worcestershire.
- Cook until beans are tender.
- It may be necessary to add a little water during cooking.
- Remove bay leaves.
- Taste and adjust seasoning, if needed.
- About 10 servings.
