Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 4 or 5 eggs
  • 3 c. filling

Method

  • Add butter to boiling hot water.
  • When melted, add flour all at once.
  • Mix thoroughly and cook over direct heat.
  • Stir in unbeaten eggs, one at a time.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls on buttered baking sheet.
  • Place 2 to 3 inches apart.
  • Bake in oven at 350° for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce temperature to 325° and bake 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Cool, split and fill with sweet cream filling.
