Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. hot water
- 4 or 5 eggs
- 3 c. filling
Method
- Add butter to boiling hot water.
- When melted, add flour all at once.
- Mix thoroughly and cook over direct heat.
- Stir in unbeaten eggs, one at a time.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls on buttered baking sheet.
- Place 2 to 3 inches apart.
- Bake in oven at 350° for 15 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 325° and bake 20 to 30 minutes.
- Cool, split and fill with sweet cream filling.
