Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • ??? c. shortening
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 4 to 5 c. flour

Method

  • Put yeast in one cup warm water to dissolve.
  • To other cup water, add sugar and shortening.
  • Add water with yeast and gradually add flour.
  • Let rise in warm place.
  • Turn out on floured board and knead.
  • Cut with glass or cutter into small rolls. Place in buttered pan to rise.
  • Cook at 350°.
  • Before rolls are completely done, brush tops with butter and let brown.
  • Makes approximately 36.
