Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 yeast cake
- 4 c. lukewarm water
Method
- Dissolve yeast cake in 1 cup of lukewarm water.
- Add remaining 3 cups of water.
- Add enough flour to make a stiff batter.
- Set in warm place.
- Let rise until double in bulk.
- Make out buns; let rise and bake at 350°.
