Ingredients

  • 40 whole chicken wings
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups hot sauce
  • 34 cup butter (cubed)
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 12 cup italian seasoning
  • 14 cup rosemary (crushed)
  • 14 cup paprika
  • 14 cup chili powder
  • 14 cup pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper

Method

  • cut chicken wings into 3 sections, discard wing tip, set aside.
  • in a saucepan bring the brown sugar, hot sauce,butter and vinegar to a boil.
  • reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes or untill butter is melted and sauce is heated through.
  • cool in a gallon size resealable plastic bag.
  • combine sugar, seasonings and 1 cup of sauce.
  • add chicken wings in batches, seal in a bag toss coat evenly, grill wings uncovered over indirect medium heat for 12-15 minutes or till juices run clear turning once and basting occasionally w/ remaining sauce.
