- 1 lb. venison
- 3 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 1/2 onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/2 c. green pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 c. raw washed wild rice
- 1 1/2 c. water
Method
- Dredge venison in flour.
- Brown in bacon fat with onion.
- Add to 3-quart baking pan with next six ingredients.
- Parboil wild rice in water.
- Boil until almost tender.
- Add to baking pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
