Ingredients

  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. oleo
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. or 2 Tbsp. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 2 1/4 c. hot (120~ to 130~) water
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 3 1/2 to 4 c. white flour

Method

  • Put first 5 ingredients in mixing bowl and add water.
  • Blend and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup whole wheat flour and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Add white flour and stir until soft dough is formed.
  • On floured surface, knead for 2 to 3 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Let rest for 20 minutes.
  • Divide dough in half and form into 2 loaves.
  • Place in bread pans sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Spray tops of loaves with vegetable oil spray and cover with a plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate 2 to 8 hours.
  • Remove from refrigerator and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°
  • for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
  • Cover with paper or cloth towel until cool.
