Ingredients

  • 10 slices hickory smoked bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium loaf Italian bread, sliced (20 slices)
  • 34 cup green onion, finely chopped
  • 18 cup fresh garlic, crushed
  • 20 slices fresh mozzarella cheese (1/8th-inch thick)

Method

  • Cook bacon until golden, drain on paper towels, let cool then crumble.
  • Set bacon aside.
  • Place bread on cookie sheet.
  • Layer with onion, garlic, crumbled bacon and top with thick slice of mozzarella.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
