Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Method
- Combine first 5 ingredients in saucepan.
- Bring to boil slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Boil without stirring over medium heat to 236°.
- Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes.
- Do not stir.
- Add vanilla; beat until mixture starts to lose gloss (about 8 minutes).
- Stir in nuts and quickly pour into buttered pan.
- Cool and cut into squares.
