Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell

Method

  • In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
  • Arrange walnuts on bottom of pie shell. Carefully pour egg mixture over walnuts.
  • Bake on bottom rack of preheated 400° oven until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Cool on wire rack. Serves 6 to 8.
