- 1 c. cooked bulgur wheat, kasha or brown rice
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 2 (8 oz.) cans mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. dried bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. pumpkin, sunflower or sesame seed
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/4 tsp. tamari (soy sauce)
- 1/2 c. diced onions
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 3/4 tsp. coriander
- 1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
Method
- Cook wheat and water 15 minutes.
- Preheat broiler.
- Combine all ingredients.
- Shape into 4 equal patties.
- Broil about 5 minutes on each side until brown.
- Makes 4 servings.
