Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 ounce) can navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 anaheim chili, seeded and minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon toasted cumin seed
  • 1 12 cups cooked wild rice
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Combine all ingredients except wild rice, salt and pepper, in slow cooker; cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, adding wild rice during last 30 minutes.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
