Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. powdered sugar, packed
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- Thoroughly cream butter and shortening.
- Add in powdered sugar; cream well.
- Add in beaten Large eggs and vanilla to creamed mix and mix well.
- Mix in sifted flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
- Refrigeratetwo hrs.
- On lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes with cutters.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
- Cold slightly; remove from pan.
- Decorate as desired or possibly use the following dipping icing.
