Ingredients
- 2 C. half-and-half
- 2 C. sugar
- 3/4 C. light brown corn syrup
- 1/2 C. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Combine sugar, 1 cup of half-and-half, syrup and butter.
- Cook over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes until mixture comes to a full boil.
- Add remaining half-and-half and cook at a slow boil until mixture reaches 245 degrees on a candy thermometer (this takes a while).
- Add vanilla.
- Pour into a greased 8 or 9 inch square pan and let cool.
- Cut into pieces.
