Ingredients
- 3 c. fine semolina
- 1 c. plain flour
- 2 Tbsp. turmeric
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. oil (Crisco)
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. tahini
- 1/4 c. pine nuts
Method
- Mix the flour, semolina, turmeric and baking powder.
- Dissolve the sugar in the milk; add them to the flour mixture along with the oil.
- Beat well for 5 minutes.
- Grease the pan or (baking tray) with the tahini generously and bake for 30 minutes at 350° or until cake is done.
- Sprinkle the cake with pine nuts before the baking; then cut the cake in diamond shapes.
- Serve with tea.
