Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread
  • 1/4 c. peanuts
  • 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 ounce. bitter chocolate
  • 1 1/2 pound sliced, roasted chicken or possibly turkey
  • 2 tbsp. fat
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. almonds
  • 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  • Saute/fry bread in fat, then drain and remove.
  • Saute/fry garlic and onion in the same fat.
  • Grind bread, garlic, onion and nuts very fine to make a paste.
  • Add in chili pwdr, broth, spices, sugar and water.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Add in chocolate, stirring till melted.
  • Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add in chicken or possibly turkey slices (cut thin or possibly in small pcs) and simmer about 1 hour till flavors are blended.
  • Makes 6 portions.
