Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 (13 oz.) can tuna, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar or Velveeta cheese
  • 1 c. cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 can French-fried onions
  • 4 to 5 medium raw potatoes, peeled and sliced

Method

  • Melt butter in 2-quart glass baking dish.
  • Arrange potatoes in bottom of dish.
  • Bake, covered, with a paper towel for about 10 minutes.
  • The potatoes should be almost done.
  • Combine soup and milk in 4-cup glass bowl, microwave 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Spread tuna and cheese over potatoes.
  • Pour heated soup mixture over tuna. Top with French-fried onions and microwave, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes or until casserole is heated through and cheese is melted.
