Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 c. Post Raisin Bran
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. Baker's coconut, cut
Method
- Or possibly use 2 c. Post Toasties, Post 40% Bran Flakes, or possibly Grape-Nut Flakes and add in 1/4 c. raisins.
- Sift flour once, measure, add in soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and sift again.
- Cream shortening and add in sugar gradually, creaming thoroughly.
- Add in lowfat milk and Large eggs and beat well.
- Add in flour mix and mix well; then add in cereal and nuts.
- Divide mix in three parts.
- To one part, add in chocolate chips.
- To the second part, add in coconut.
- Use the remaining batter plain.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet and bake in 375 degree oven or possibly 10-12 min.
- Makes 4 1/2 dozen, 1 1/2 dozen of each kind.
