Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
- 12 cup finely chopped pecans
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Take a large, greased cookie sheet with sides and line with parchment paper.
- It doesn't have to be a perfect fit - you'd be happier with slightly underfitting the paper, than having wrinkles which tend to stick in the cookie dough.
- Cream butter and brown sugar together.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Sift flour and salt together.
- Add to butter mixture.
- Mix well.
- Batter will be stiff.
- Spread batter into prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until done.
- Cool slightly and cut into squares while still a little warm.
- (This way they won't crumble on you) Keep the squares close together for the next step.
- Melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions and drizzle over the cookie dough.
- Sprinkle with pecans while the chocolate is still "wet".
