Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. green beans (string beans)
  • 1 1/2 c. wax beans
  • 1 1/2 c. kidney or pinto beans
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. onion, sliced thin
  • 1 c. green bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 can or small jar pimientos, chopped
  • 1 c. diced or thin sliced carrots

Method

  • Rinse and drain all beans.
  • Mix vegetables in large plastic container.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly and pour over vegetables.
  • Do not stir.
  • Put tight lid on container and toss occasionally.
  • Refrigerate.
