Ingredients

  • 2 small onions
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 3 tsp. cooking oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. washed, uncooked rice
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. chili powder

Method

  • Cook onion and pepper in oil until onions are yellow.
  • Add ground beef and fry until mix falls apart.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Pour into greased 2-quart baking dish.
  • Cover and bake 1 hour at 350°.
  • Remove cover last 15 minutes of baking time.
