Ingredients

  • 24 chicken wings
  • 1 c. naturally brewed soy sauce
  • 3/4 c. scallions with tops, chopped
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. salad oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger or 1 Tbsp. ginger root, grated

Method

  • Disjoint chicken wings; discard tips.
  • Blend soy sauce, scallions, sugar, oil, garlic and ginger in large mixing bowl. Stir in chicken pieces; cover and marinate 30 minutes.
  • Remove chicken; reserve marinade.
  • Place chicken side by side in shallow baking pan, skin side down.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 15 minutes.
  • Turn pieces over; baste with reserved marinade and bake 15 minutes longer.
