Ingredients
- 12 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 14 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 34 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup coconut
- 12 cup nuts (optional)
Method
- Cream shortening until light and fluffy.
- Blend in sugar; beat in egg and vanilla, almond extract, and milk.
- Mix in dry ingredients, 1/3 at a time, combining well after each addition.
- Mix in coconut, chips and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
- Press flat with a wet fork.
- Bake in 350 degree oven till golden - 12 minutes.
