Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, minced
  • garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. grease
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 can pitted black olives

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Simmer onion and garlic in hot pan until yellow.
  • Add meat and brown.
  • Pour off excess grease.
  • Then add to tomatoes.
  • Pour mixture into square baking dish.
  • Press olives into mixture.
  • Combine cornmeal, milk and eggs.
  • Spoon over filling; sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
