Ingredients
- 1 lb. round light (seedless) rye bread
- 1 lb. Swiss cheese
- 1/2 lb. butter, softened
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion flakes
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning
Method
- Take top off loaf and cut grids 1 1/2-inches (almost to bottom).
- Place 1 cut of
- Swiss
- cheese
- in each slot, using 1 pound.
- Place pan in round pan.
- Blend together the balance of ingredients and spread
- on top of bread like icing of cake and bake at 350°
- for
- 30
- minutes.
- Remove
- and
- cool 2 minutes. (Good for a party.)
