- Meatloaf
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sambal oelek
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 2 scallions, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sambal oelek chili paste
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Garnish
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all the meatloaf ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet and shape into an 8x4 inch loaf. Bake for 50 minutes.
- Whisk the sauce ingredients together and brush all over the meatloaf. Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
- Transfer the meatloaf to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.
