Ingredients
- 12 prunes
- 1/3 c. rice
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 orange, cut up
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 can fruit cocktail
- 2 Tbsp. tapioca
Method
- Cut desired amounts of beef, mutton or lamb flanks into 9 x 7-inch pieces.
- On each place smaller pieces.
- Season with salt and pepper and layer with chopped salted onions.
- Roll jelly roll-like and sew each roll firmly with cord, leaving one end open.
- Using edge of spoon (wooden) stuff with onions until roll is full.
- Sew open end closing it.
- Boil in salted water until done. Then remove from kettle and put in press for several hours.
