Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- marshmallows
Method
- Scald milk.
- Add sugar, salt, butter, nutmeg and potatoes.
- Beat with mixer until fluffy.
- In small bowl, beat egg yolks until light and lemon colored.
- Add to potato mixture.
- Add raisins and pecans. In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
- Fold into potatoes and pour into greased baking dish.
- Bake at 350° 50 - 60 minutes, or until firm.
- Top with marshmallows and brown.
