Ingredients
- 3 c. chopped sweet onions (Vidalia is best)
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings
- 2 tsp. salt to taste
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. flour
Method
- Place onion and bacon drippings in thick pan or skillet.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Saute until onions are tender.
- Let this simmer. Mix flour and enough water for a thickening.
- Pour in mixture and cook until thick like gravy.
- Serve with rice or toast.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
