Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. canned chili (without beans)
- 1/2 c. grape jelly
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Method
- Combine first 7 ingredients and blend well.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Set aside.
- Combine chili, jelly and lemon juice in saucepan or deep frying pan and mix well over low heat.
- Add meatballs, stirring lightly.
- Simmer for 1 hour.
- Can be warmed in a crock-pot.
