Ingredients

  • 2 (1 lb.) cans Del Monte green beans
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • dash of hot pepper
  • 4 slices bacon

Method

  • Drain beans. Put in 9 x 13-inch casserole.
  • Place sliced onions over beans.
  • Make a melted sauce out of next 5 ingredients. Pour over beans and onions.
  • Add bacon, cut in quarters.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
  • You have to taste to appreciate.
