Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- boneless pork shoulder
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 4 Tbsp. ground onion (1 medium)
Method
- Put everything but meat into blender and mix well.
- Pour over meat and thoroughly mix.
- Shape into small 1 to 1 1/2-inch balls. Fry gently to brown.
- Cover and simmer with small amount of water after meatballs well browned.
- Simmer 30 minutes.
- Can make gravy from drippings or small can mushroom sauce works well.
