Ingredients
- 1-1/2 pound Ground Ham
- 1 pound Ground Pork
- 2 cups Bread Crumbs
- 2 whole Eggs, Well Beaten
- 3/4 cups Milk (approximate)
- 1 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
- 1/4 cups Cider Vinegar
- 3/4 cups Water
Method
- Heat the oven to 375.
- Combine the first 5 ingredients well and shape into 12 large meatballs. (Start with 1/2 cup of the milk and see if you need to add more). Place these in a baking dish.
- Combine the brown sugar, dry mustard, vinegar and water to form a "syrup". Pour over the meatballs and bake for one hour, basting the meatballs every 15 minutes with the syrup.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, and sauteed cabbage for a lucky New Year's dinner!
