Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. sugar

Method

  • Put egg whites into a bowl;
  • add baking powder and beat until stiff.
  • Gradually

  • beating
  • often for each addition. Mix

  • graham
  • cracker
  • crumbs, then add nuts and flavoring. Spread in
  • 9-inch
  • glass
  • pie pan that has been generously greased.
  • Bake

  • minutes or until lightly browned,
  • cool then spread with whipping cream on top. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
