Ingredients

  • 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chip bits
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 2 c. heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 angel food cake

Method

  • Melt chocolate over hot water.
  • Add sugar and egg yolks; mix thoroughly.
  • Remove from heat and fold in whipped cream and egg whites.
  • Tear angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
  • Put layer into buttered pan, using half of cake.
  • Cover with layer of chocolate mixture and repeat.
  • Place in refrigerator overnight.
