- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 14 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 lb. can tomatoes
- 3 oz. can mushrooms
- 8 oz. shell macaroni, cooked
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Method
- In large pot, cook and drain ground beef, onion and garlic. Add spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms.
- Simmer 20 minutes. While this is simmering, cook macaroni shells.
- Using a large casserole dish, layer 1/2 shells, 1/2 meat sauce and Provolone cheese.
- Then 1/2 shells, 1/2 meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Cover and bake.
- Remove cover last 5 minutes to let cheese melt. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
