Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites (room temperature)
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • food coloring (optional)

Method

  • Set oven to 350° before starting.
  • Line 2 cookie sheets with tinfoil.
  • In mixer, beat egg whites until thick and foamy. Gradually add sugar while mixer is in motion.
  • Beat until glossy, stiff peaks form.
  • Remove bowl from mixer and add vanilla, chocolate chips and walnuts, until blended.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
  • Shut oven off and put cookie sheets in oven. Leave in oven overnight or at least 3 to 4 hours.
  • Food coloring can be added after mixing, if desired.
