Ingredients
- 1 c confectioners sugar
- 1 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c oil
- 2 eggs
- 4 c + 4 T flour
- 1 t cream of tartar
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1 t vanilla
Method
- Cream together the first 4 ingredients, add eggs and vanilla. Add all dry ingredients.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hr.
- To bake, pinch off about 1 t of dough, roll into a ball and place on a greased cookie sheet.
- Press each cookie into a circle with the bottom of a glass or cookie press dipped into sugar.
- Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.
- Do not let them get too brown.
- Cool completely.
- Keep in airtight container.
- These will keep for up to four weeks and they get better with age.
