Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon, fried crisp
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- dash of pepper
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. sour cream
- 8 to 10 hamburger buns, toasted
Method
- Cook the bacon until crisp; drain on a paper towel.
- Cook onion in bacon grease; drain in a colander.
- Cook the ground beef until done; add the bacon and onion.
- Blend the flour and seasonings into the mixture; stir in the soup.
- Cook slowly, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in the sour cream and heat through.
- Serve, open-faced, on the toasted buns. Feeds four teenage boys or a family of six.
