Ingredients
- 2 qt. fresh strawberries
- 7 c. sugar
- 1/2 (6 oz.) bottle liquid fruit pectin
Method
- Wash berries; slice in half lengthwise or quarter large berries.
- Measure 4 cups.
- In kettle, combine berries and 4 cups sugar; let stand 15 minutes.
- Add remaining sugar.
- Bring to full, rolling boil.
- Boil hard, uncovered, 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in pectin.
- Skim off foam. Pour into hot, sterilized jars.
- Cover with wax.
